Lucy Liu was born in the US. Lucy Liu, a native of America is an American actor, singer and voice actor. An attractive, clever and gifted actor, she's an model for Asian actors who are aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. A series of successful early performances in popular TV series led to her becoming well-known for her part in the character of Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She gave a stellar performance as Japanese O-Ren, a gangster from Japan (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In the meanwhile, she also played the lead role in a few box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as voice actor in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen parts, did not achieve much success.
